1988 – Chosen Illinois Youth Ambassador to USSR. Recognized by IL General Assembly and Gov. Jim Thompson. Participated in 3 week official tour of Russia. Met government officials and interacted with numerous youth groups to expand peaceful relations of nations.
1988 - Dukakis/Bentsen Presidential Campaign phone bank supervisor, Chicago, IL. Staffed and supervised bank of 25 volunteers. Wrote and executed persuasive scripts for fund raising and voter outreach
1993 – President of Bradley University chapter of Progressive Student Alliance. Educated students about current events and effects on campus and students nationally. Sponsored topical speaking events, demonstrations and information tables. Helped organize and participated in national demonstrations in Washington DC.
2002-2013 - Campaign Staff Gary Sandberg, Peoria City Councilman. Organized, promoted, set up/tore down events. Obtained permissions to place and remove campaign signs and promotional material.
2004 - Peoria Election Board Polling Trouble Shooter – Trained in maintenance and repair electronic voting machines. Inspected and repaired voting booths around central IL
2003 - 2016 - Active member of Madison Manor Home Owners Association. Lobbied local government for projects that enhanced the safety and aesthetics of neighborhood.
2016 – Precinct Committeeman Democrat Party Peoria 7th. Canvassing door to door, educating voters on candidates, voting options and polling locations.
